This month, we’re excited to spotlight Anna Wigman, Senior Recruiter at The Planet Group. Anna recently celebrated her four-year anniversary with TPG, and in that time, she’s made a meaningful impact helping candidates find roles that align with their goals and values.

How long have you been with TPG?

I just hit my four-year anniversary with TPG—time has flown by!

How have you grown in your career with TPG?

Joining The Planet Group and stepping into recruiting has been such a rewarding journey. I’ve grown so much in my confidence and communication, but what really drives me is being an advocate for candidates—helping them find roles that truly fit their goals and seeing how that impacts their lives. It’s been incredibly fulfilling and has pushed me to keep growing every step of the way.

What originally got you interested in working here?

I came from the humanitarian nonprofit space, where my focus was on supporting others and creating meaningful impact. That sense of purpose still guides me today—especially as more organizations recognize how meaningful work directly improves well-being and engagement. When I learned about recruiting at TPG, it felt like a natural extension of that mission—helping people find opportunities that can truly change their lives.

What’s your favorite part of the workday?

My favorite part of the day is connecting with candidates—having real conversations where I get to learn about their goals and help them see how their experience aligns with an opportunity.

What have been your career highlights at TPG so far?

Being promoted to Senior Recruiter has definitely been a career highlight. I’ve also had the opportunity to mentor new recruiters, which has been such a rewarding experience.

What advice would you give to aspiring recruiters?

I’d tell anyone starting out that it’s hard to see the bigger picture at first, and the learning curve can feel steep. But if you stick with it, stay curious, and keep building relationships, it really pays off.

In one sentence, why should someone consider a career at TPG?

Because TPG is a place where you can grow personally and professionally while making a real impact through the relationships you build with candidates and clients.

What’s your favorite TPG event or memory?

Meeting my team in person during our Chicago trip last summer! After working together virtually, finally spending time face-to-face was such a memorable experience—and one I’m so grateful for.

Why do you think the TPG model makes our business so successful?

Our success really comes from the authentic relationships we build with our candidates. We genuinely care about their experience and treat them with respect throughout the entire process.

How has TPG supported your personal goals?

TPG has helped me grow so much in my self-assurance. I’ve had leaders who genuinely believe in me and encourage me to step outside my comfort zone. That kind of support has made all the difference—it’s helped me trust myself more and take on new challenges with excitement.

Where do you see your career progressing at TPG?

I see so many opportunities for growth—expanding my network, mentoring others, and exploring new industries. TPG really gives you the space to shape your career however you want it to grow.

If you could travel anywhere, where would it be and why?

If I could travel anywhere, I’d go to the South of France. The culture, the views, and being by the water sound perfect. I’d love to explore the small towns, slow down, and just take in the moment.

One thing my candidates or clients don’t know about me is…

I started my career in the nonprofit world, which is where I first discovered my love for helping people and advocating for them. It’s a big part of what shaped how I recruit today.
